Indian and Antigua have signed an extradition deal paving the way for Indian agencies to extradite Mehul Choksi from Antigua, Times Now reported.Economic fugitive Mehul Choksi, who has been a co-accused in the PNB fraud case along with Nirav Modi, took Antiguan citizenship in January this year. Earlier, a PTI report quoted sources as saying that a team of the MEA and officials from other agencies had gone to the Caribbean nation to request the authorities to extradite Mehul Choksi.It is also believed that Mehul Choksi has already moved the court in Antigua and submitted that he should not be extradited as he has followed the due process of law. The Antiguan authorities had cleared his citizenship proposal in November last year after no adverse report was received from India against Mehul Choksi.
