ITC Hotels launches the ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa
NEW DELHI: ITC Hotels announced the opening of its 13th luxury hotel in India, the ITC Grand Goa, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, formerly known as the Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa, on Arossim beach in Cansaulim, South Goa on Wednesday. The 252-keys beach-side hotel will have 6 signature dining options, besides ITC's Kaya Kalp Royal spa. Set amidst 45-acres, ITC Hotels had announced the successful acquisition of Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa in September. The acquisition is a part of an auction held by Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI) for Rs 541 crores in 2015, and upheld by the Supreme Court in its 19th March judgement. Business continuity remains top priority for the chain and efforts are underway to commence operations at the earliest, ITC Hotels had then said in a statement.Nakul Anand, executive director, ITC Ltd. said: “With this resort ITC Hotels has expanded its footprint in a globally sought after leisure destination in Asia. The addition of ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa to our luxury hotel portfolio further reinforces ITC’s vision to consolidate its portfolio in key business and leisure destinations in the country.”The property is a 30-minute drive from the Goa International Airport and its six dining concepts include Kebabs & Kurries-showcasing traditional Indian styles of cooking, Tempero featuring distinct influences in Goan cooking, Ottimo for pan-Italian cuisine, Pavilion at the Market Place-an all day dining place featuring Indian and inventive international cuisines, The Royal Afghan-a seaside barbecue and grill outlet and Farol, a multi-level poolside bar.
