Hyundai receives over 38,000 bookings for new Santro

NEW DELHI: Korean auto major Hyundai Motor Monday said it has received 38500 bookings for the new Santro since its launch on Oct 23. The company said overall the Santro has received enquiries from 211,000 customers. Y K Koo, managing director and chief executive officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), said the company is “overwhelmed” with the response. Hyundai offers automated manual transmission and CNG-powered options on the new Santro. Around 30% and 18% of the bookings have come for the AMT and CNG variants of the car respectively.
