WPI inflation rises to 0.58 per cent in November

India’s wholesale price inflation rose to 0.58 per cent in November from 0.16 per cent in October on the back of rise in food price inflation. Primary articles inflation at 7.68 per cent v/s 6.4 per cent last month.Manufactured goods inflation remained same at -0.84 per cent.High food inflation, however, kept the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) from falling into negative zone. Food price inflation (Rural and urban) climbed 10.01% in November.Retail inflation in November rose to 5.54% from 4.62% in October.Core inflation remained unchanged from October at 3.5%.
