Mylab launches self-use test kits at chemists

A self-use rapid test kit for Covid-19 with results available in 15 minutes will now be available at pharmacies and Flipkart.Pune-based Mylab Discovery Solutions on Thursday announced the commercial launch of its Covid-19 self-test kit, CoviSelf TM.The kits, which will be available at Rs 250, are approved by the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR). This is the first test kit for Covid-19 that can be self-administered at home available in India.“This indigenous test kit will be distributed through to 95% of the PIN codes in the county and will be available over- the-counter at pharmacies and drugstores across India. Individuals can also order it online through India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, Flipkart,” the company said in a statement.Mylab Discovery Solutions will be rolling out one million self-test Covid kits starting Thursday.
