Nooyi teases her book with MMS-Obama meet

Former chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi will be releasing her memoir, 'My Life in Full: Work, Family, and Our Future' on September 28. As the former CEO waits for her book to hit the shelves, she took to her official Twitter account to interact with her over 89K followers. "If you had the opportunity to call up your past self and give them a piece of wisdom, what would it be?" the 65-year-old asked. Sharing a picture from her teen years, Nooyi further reflected on her own past. The New York City based business executive shared the advice she'd give her younger self. "To this version of myself, I would say — when you take on something, give it everything you’ve got. From her childhood and early years in India, to her Yale School of Management experience and her rise to the corporate world, the book tells it all. Thrilled about her book launch, Nooyi even shared the first few pages from 'My Life in Full: Work, Family, and Our Future' book.The story begins with Nooyi finding herself in a room alongside then President of America and Prime Minister of India. "One foggy Tuesday in November 2009, after hours of meetings in Washington, DC, with two dozens top US and Indian business executives, I found myself standing between the president of the United States and the prime minister of India. Barack Obama and Manmohan Singh had entered the room for an update on our group's progress, and President Obama began introducing the American team to his Indian counterpart. When he got to me - Indra Nooyi, CEO of PepsiCo - Prime Minister Singh exclaimed, "Oh! But she is one of us!"And the president, with a big smile and without missing a beat, responded, "Ah, but she is one of us, too!" the first page of Nooyi's book read, which she shared on LinkedIn.Just like the former CEO, people are extremely excited to get their hands on the book as well, while those who preordered it and are currently reading it, are in absolute awe of the business executive."I keep smiling/ chuckling to myself at the warmth and authenticity that is on every page. While many expressed a keen desire to read Nooyi's life journey, after all, she was consistently ranked among the world's 100 most powerful women. In 2015, Nooyi bagged the second spot on the Fortune list of most powerful women. In 2019, she again got the second rank as the most powerful woman but this time on the Forbes list of The 19 Most Powerful Women in Business. Nooyi, who was born in Madras (now called Chennai) in the year of 1955, is currently on the boards of Amazon and the International Cricket Council.
