Fuel prices shoot up, touch over four-year highs
Fuel prices rose on Friday to touch the highest level in over four years on the back of rising crude prices, which rose to the highest since November 2014.In Delhi, diesel was retailing at were at Rs 65.31 a litre, a new all-time high. Petrol was up at Rs 74.08 a litre. In Mumbai, petrol rose to Rs 81.93 a litre, which is the highest level seen since September 14. Diesel was being sold at Rs 69.54 a litre, the highest since August 2014.In Kolkata, petrol was retailing at Rs 76.78 a litre and diesel at 68.01 a litre.In Chennai, petrol prices stood at Rs 76.85 per litre while diesel was being sold for Rs 68.90 a litre.
